March Shows!

January was full of fun and had me traveling to London with Margo Cilker and Sera Cahoone to celebrate UK/Americana Music Week.  And what a week it was.  Margo was nominated for International Album of the Year (along with Jason Isbell, Allison Russell, Drew Holcomb) and it was a thrill to be with her (and producer Sera Cahoone) in person in London as we watched Alison Russell accept the award from her home in Los Angeles.

February saw a lot of work for and travel with Roots of Empathy and I’m currently writing from beautiful Maui where I am frolicking in the waves and with the whales and with my brother Shane, Carolyn and Eva, lots of friends, and my beautiful Maui family. 

And I’m beside myself that the stars have aligned with this visit and I get to play a show this Thursday, February 29 with my old Maui band, The Voodoo Suns, featuring Anastasia Gilliam and Nils Rosenblad.  Cannot wait for that reunion!

(Yup, we’re getting the band back together after about an 8-year-long hiatus)
