Shows, Shows, Shows

Hello, and Happy Summer!  It’s officially Summer in Seattle. Live music fills the streets, the parks, the clubs, the festival sites.

I’m very happy to be playing with these fine folks at these fun venues:

WHEN: TOMORROW, Friday, July 8
WHO: Julia Francis w/full band (Darren Loucas, Aaron O’Neil, Charles Wicklander, yours truly)
WHERE: Vashon Brewing Community Pub, Vashon Island (bring the kids, the dogs, the bikes)
INFO: No Cover All ages.

WHEN: Thursday, July 14
WHO: Sera Cahoone w/full band (Tomo Nakayama, Aaron Benson, yours truly) with an opening set by Betsy Olson (with Moe Provencher)
WHERE: On the lawn at St. Edward State Park, Kenmore, WA.  Bring a blanket, a picnic, a low chair, what have you.
INFO:No Cover All ages. Free Parking.

MORE: This is a gorgeous state park and a nice and close getaway just a short drive NE of Seattle.  Music under the sun!

WHEN: Saturday, July 16
WHO: Betsy Olson w/full band (Sera Cahoone, Moe Provencher, yours truly)
WHERE: Mosé Auto, Georgetown (719 S. Myrtle Street).  It’s a Garage Party!  Outdoors.
TIMINGStarts at 5pm.  Get there early to hear all the music. We play at 9pm, followed by a dance party at 10pm.
INFO: $10.  All proceeds will go to non-profits active in affordable housing, immigrant  + LGBTQIA

MORE: Yup.  It’s an auto shop for every human. Committed to their community.  Come for a full night of fun and help us support!

WHEN: Sunday, July 17
WHO: Tony Fulgham w/full band (Tim DiJulio, Aimee Zoe, yours truly) opening for the phenomenal Amanda Winterhalter & Band.
WHERE: Hotel Albatross, Ballard.  
TIMINGDoors 7pm.  Music 8pm.  

And on the horizon:

July 23 – More Tony Fulgham, and Long Dark Moon (I’ll be playing with both) and a host of other bands up in Stanwood, Wa.  All day long.
July 23 – Darren Loucas (with Ron Weinstein, Andy Roth, yours truly).  Owl ‘n Thistle Pub, downtown Seattle. 9-Midnight.
July 25 – X-Ray w/Jelly Rollers (Jim & John Steffen, Dan Weber, Darren Loucas, Sean Divine, other guests and yours truly). Owl ‘n Thistle Pub
July 27 – Johnny Bregar – Music for KIDS that adults can groove to.  Sea-Tac.  NOON.
July 28-31 – Sera Cahoone & Margo Cilker (I’ll be playing with both bands) Sera in Missoula and at Red Ants Pants Festival, White Sulphur Springs, MT. 
August 5-7 – Margo Cilker at Pickathon (YES!) See schedule/lineup:

Summer Shows

WHEN: Wednesday, June 29
WHO: Chase Rabideau Band with Good Liar/Pineola
WHERE: The Tractor Tavern, Ballard, WA
TIMINGDoors, 7:30pm. Then 8pm-8:35 – Good Liar/8:50-9:30 – Pineola/9:45 – Chase Rabideau Band

MORE: I’ll be playing with Pineola (you must hear Leslie Braly singing like an angel) for the first time in a long time.  And looking forward to listening to Good Liar and Chase Rabideau who is rocking my speakers as I write this. 

JULY gets even busier with shows, indoors and out!

And one more important show that I am not playing, but want to promote because it will be fantastic!

BeatleConcert Unplugged is an acoustic showcase from Strawshop’s new favorite 12th Ave party: BeatleConcert (appearing later this year with a full band). On Sunday, July 10, join Paul Hiraga, Bhama Roget, and Jeff Brown from the band for an intimate evening of the Beatles interpreted for guitar, piano, and vocals.

Shows this Week

Hi Friends!  

Live Music is good for the heart & soul.

Here are some shows I’m playing this very weekend:

WHEN: Friday, June 17
WHO: Aline & Wes/Darren Loucas/Amanda Winterhalter
WHERE: The Royal Room, Columbia City.  5000 Rainier Avenue South, Seattle.
TIMINGDoors, 6:30pm. Then, roughly, 7:30 – Aline & Wes, 8:30 – Darren Loucas (I’ll be with Darren along with Eric Eagle on drums), 9:45 – Amanda Winterhalter & her fab band. 


MORE: This is such a great lineup.  I can’t wait to be sandwiched (with Darren Loucas) playing between Aline & Wes and one of my best pals, Amanda Winterhalter, who will bring the house down.  

WHEN: Saturday, June 18
WHO: Darren Loucas & Friends (yours truly on bass, Mike Stone on drums, Ron Weinstein on Hammond B3) 
WHERE: Owl ‘n Thistle Pub, downtown Seattle. 808 Post Avenue, Seattle 98104
TIMING:8pm – 11pm. A long set with a break at some point to hang with YOU!

MORE:  Local legendary drummer Mike Stone joins us (on his birthday) for this special night of rockin’ and swingin’ Blues and more.  Everyone loves a Hammond B3 organ, Darren Loucas on electric guitar, and some hot solos from both.  I’ll be holding down the low end, per usual…

If you haven’t seen or heard The Debbie Miller, please check her out and come on down. The sound at the “new” and improved Sunset Tavern is also as good as it gets.  And you’ll need your tissues, ’cause Debbie will definitely make you laugh and make you cry.

Oh boy.  This will be a barn burner of a show.  Smokin’ hot BBQ joint, fresh air, and lots of blues, rock, rockabilly all night long.
